Job Description

This role oversees construction and production activities for complex facilities, with a strong focus on data center and fiber optic projects in the Phoenix region. The Construction Integration Manager 5 supervises and coordinates production and operating workers, ensures high-quality deliverables, and drives continuous improvement in methods, equipment performance, and overall efficiency. The position is fully onsite, with frequent visits to active construction sites to monitor progress, identify and resolve issues, and support project teams in delivering work safely, on time, and to specification.

Responsibilities

+ Supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers across multiple construction sites.

+ Implement measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and overall efficiency.

+ Review daily operations and collaborate with technical and administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.

+ Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems to monitor performance and detect production issues early.

+ Analyze production, quality control, and maintenance data to identify trends, problems, and opportunities for improvement.

+ Set, communicate, and monitor product and construction standards to ensure high-quality finished work that meets project requirements.

+ Prepare, maintain, and organize production reports and personnel records to support transparent and accurate project documentation.

+ Hire, train, evaluate, and, when necessary, discharge staff while managing performance and resolving personnel issues and grievances.

+ Conduct regular onsite visits to construction projects in the Phoenix region to check progress, verify compliance with plans, and ensure safety and quality standards.

+ Identify and call out design flaws or constructability issues, and work with relevant stakeholders to implement corrective actions.

+ Mitigate issues that arise during construction by coordinating with field teams, designers, and other stakeholders to keep projects on schedule.

+ Place purchase orders (POs) and coordinate materials and equipment needed to support ongoing construction activities.

+ Collaborate closely with full-time employees on site to align priorities, share information, and support integrated project delivery.

+ Ensure deadlines are met and work quality remains consistently high, in line with agreed project metrics and performance expectations.

Essential Skills

+ Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information to field teams, technical staff, and leadership.

+ High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions.

+ Ability to work independently, manage one's time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced construction environment.

+ Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control techniques to support efficient manufacture and distribution of goods and construction outputs.

+ Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance, as they relate to construction and production environments.

+ Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in producing precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

+ Construction management experience, including overseeing site activities and coordinating multiple trades and stakeholders.

+ Experience working on active construction sites, with a strong understanding of site logistics, safety, and field coordination.

+ Previous experience in a similar title or role, managing construction or production operations.

+ High school diploma or GED.

+ 10+ years of experience in data center and fiber optic installation environments.

+ 5+ years of previous data center experience, ideally within telecom, general contracting, or fit-out projects.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ Associate's degree in business or a related field is preferred.

+ Telecom, general contractor (GC), or interior fit-out experience is highly beneficial.

+ Experience working closely with full-time employees on integrated project teams.

+ Familiarity with Bluebeam for reviewing and marking up construction documents.

+

Experience with Primavera P6 (P6) scheduling software is an advantage for candidates who have used it previously.

+ Ability to thrive in an onsite, field-focused role with frequent visits to projects under construction.

+ Comfort working under performance metrics focused on quality of work and meeting deadlines.

Work Environment

This role is fully onsite in the Phoenix region, with work performed at a program office and frequent visits to active construction sites, including data centers and related infrastructure projects.
