* The Project Scheduler develops, manages and updates project schedules to align Owner capacity timelines, general contractor timelines and overall project objectives. This role supports mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structured cabling scopes and partners with project management and field teams to provide resource projections, impact analyses, progress updates and client-facing schedule reports.
** Position Details*
* + Analyze bid-day schedules for feasibility and risk and prepare interview presentation schedules when required to support preconstruction planning and project pursuits.
+ Develop detailed Takt and CPM logic schedules with Project Management and Supervision; establish the baseline using the general contractor's contract schedule and accurately integrate MEP and structured cabling scopes.
+ Integrate the procurement schedule, Takt plan and CPM schedule within the Owner's end-to-end schedule; create detailed activities, define sequencing and consolidate manhour breakdowns for resource loading.
+ Perform daily, weekly, monthly or as-needed schedule updates; update percent complete, document logic changes and narratives and identify schedule impacts, constraints and opportunities.
+ Generate look-ahead schedules, manpower projections and Planned vs. Earned progress reports to support near-term planning, resource decisions and evaluation of project health.
+ Analyze general contractor schedule updates for continued alignment with the Takt plan, procurement schedule and internal commitments; prepare narratives, variance reports and client-facing schedule updates.
+ Assist Project Managers with schedule impact studies, including delay analysis and resequencing, and recommend practical recovery or mitigation options based on current project conditions.
+ Conduct periodic jobsite visits to validate schedule progress and gather field data and perform other assignments that support project goals and client satisfaction.
+ Independently develops and maintains schedules within approved project requirements, scheduling standards and contract commitments. Evaluates logic, progress and resource data and recommends corrective actions, while partnering with Project Management and Supervision on changes that materially affect project milestones, client commitments, cost or field execution
** Qualifications*
* + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Science or a related field, or equivalent technical training combined with related construction scheduling experience.
+ Minimum 2 years of construction experience preferred, ideally with exposure to MEP trades and large industrial or commercial projects.
+ Experience scheduling MEP scopes in a construction environment and applying Takt planning in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
+ OSHA 30-hour certification required within six (6) months of hire.
+ Employment is contingent upon meeting all jobsite-specific access requirements, with no outstanding restrictions from general contractors, owners or customers.
+ Periodically visit active construction areas to validate progress and gather field data; walk and stand for extended periods; climb stairs and ladders; navigate uneven surfaces and tight quarters; and work safely near construction materials, equipment, noise, dust and changing weather conditions. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and travel to assigned project locations as required.
+ Expert-level proficiency with Takt planning, Primavera P6, CPM logic, schedule baselining, resource loading and schedule maintenance.
+ Strong understanding of MEP and structured cabling scopes, procurement integration, field sequencing and general contractor schedule interfaces.
+ Ability to produce and interpret manpower projections, Planned vs. Earned reports, impact analyses, look-ahead schedules, narratives and variance reports.
+ Strong verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical schedule information to field teams, project leaders and clients.
