Are you a sharp, driven construction professional ready to take the next major step in your management career? We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the successful delivery of high-profile commercial construction projects across the thriving Phoenix market.

Working side-by-side with our senior Project Managers, you won't just be pushing paper—you’ll be a vital piece of the project lifecycle. From ground-up developments to high-end tenant improvements (TI), this role is explicitly designed for a high-performer who wants to master project financials, sub-buyout, and client management on a fast track toward running their own jobs.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
  • Project Execution: Support the PM from preconstruction and subcontractor buyout through to final project handover and closeout.
  • Manage the Paperwork Pipeline: Own the submittal, RFI, and change order processes, ensuring clear scope clarity and zero project bottlenecks.
  • Financial & Cost Tracking: Assist with budgeting, tracking project costs, supporting pay applications, invoicing, and regular cost reporting.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a central hub of communication between architects, engineers, owners, field Superintendents, and subcontractors.
  • Drive the

    Schedule:

    Help monitor project progress, track critical milestones, and maintain updated project schedules.
  • OAC Meetings: Attend Owner/Architect/Contractor (OAC) meetings, document critical action items, and maintain immaculate project logs via Procore.
What You Bring (Qualifications)
  • The

    Experience:

    2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial construction project coordination or management.
  • Project Background: Solid exposure to commercial ground-up builds or complex tenant improvement (TI) projects.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred (equivalent field experience is highly valued).
  • Technical Foundations: A strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, architectural plans, and structural specifications.
