Reportingdirectlytothe Director of Estimating ,youwillpreparefullestimatesofcommercialelectricalprojectsunderspecificdeadlines,includingcostanalysisforconstructionprojects,quantitytakeoffs,vendorandsubcontractorpricing,changeorderpricing,andmaintenanceofestimatingfilesandthehistoricalcostdatabase.
Therolesuitsadetail-drivenestimatorwhoiscomfortableowningtheaccuracyofanumber,communicatesclearlyacrosstimezones,andflagsriskearly.
Youwillmanagemultipleprojectsatoncewhilekeepingahighleveloforganization.
- Preparefullestimatesandcostanalysesforcommercialelectricalconstructionprojectsunderdeadline.
- Createconceptualestimateswithminimalinformationtoassistandguideclientsearlyinaproject.
- Identifytheexpensesrelatedtoelectricalapplications.
- Solicitandreviewpricingfromvendorsandsubcontractors.
- Identifyandcoordinateelectricaltradepartnersthroughouttheplanningphase.
- Conductreviewsofmilestonedocumentstoidentifychangesinworkscopeanddeveloppricingofvaluealternativeopportunities.
- Assistfieldoperationswithchangeorderpricing.
- Helpmanagetheelectricalestimatingprocessandcreateelectricalestimatingdatabases.
- Collectandorganizeallbidinformationforinputintothehistoricalcostdatabaseplatform.
- Maintainestimatingcomputerfiles.
- 2–3yearsofelectricalestimatingexperienceoncommercialprojects.
- Proficiencyinelectricalestimatingsoftwaresystems.
- Strongknowledgeofelectricalsystems,plans,and terminology.
- Excellentmathematicalskillsandorganizationalabilities.
- Effectivecommunicationwithvendors,customers,field personnel,and colleagues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office .
- Experienceonprojectsrangingfrom $1millionandlarger(candidateswithstrongexperienceonsmallerprojectsarealsoencouragedtoapply).
- Bluebeamproficiency.
- Familiaritywithcurrenttechnologytrendsinestimating.
- Primary:electricalestimatingsoftware(Accubid/Trimble,McCormick,Con Est,orsimilar).
- Bluebeam Revu,historicalcostdatabaseplatform,Microsoft Office,MSTeams,andOneDrive.
- Youproducetakeoffsthatareaccurateandcomplete,andyouknowthedifferencebetweenanumberyoucanstandbehindandaguess.
- Youkeepmultipleprojectsorganizedandvisible,andyouraiserisksbeforetheybecomebid-daysurprises.
- YouarecomfortableworkingwithUS-basedteamsandcommunicatingclearlyinwritten
English.
