Senior Project Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Estimator/Project Manager who thrives on creativity, innovation, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Primary Responsibilities / Essential Functions
  • Reviews the subcontracts and ensures terms, conditions, and scope information align with the company’s proposal.
  • Oversees contract term compliance, execution of the work, project changes, and negotiates and executes change orders promptly.
  • Maintains communications with all parties to ensure project plans and deliverables are met.
  • Manages costs, budgets, and construction expenses.
  • Ensures project productivity and safety are consistent with company policies and practices.
  • Writes subcontracts to secure coverage of scope and risk.
  • Manages all project suppliers and routes invoices appropriately.
  • Forecasts and delivers monthly cost‑to‑complete reports accurately.
  • Prepares close‑out documentation and ensures project files are archived and post‑mortem meetings are conducted.
  • Interfaces with customers to uphold the highest quality of service, resolve problems, and implement improvements.
  • Develops and maintains client relationships to enhance the company’s ability to procure projects and reduce risk.
  • Interprets rebar shop drawings, post‑tension shop drawings, concrete formwork drawings, structural and architectural drawings.
  • Monitors safety and quality issues on projects, performs safety audits and inspections as required.
  • Manages bids from vendors and subcontractors, specifies materials, negotiates price, and resolves cost discrepancies.
  • Communicates proactively with employees, management, customers, and vendors.
  • Coordinates all subcontractor and vendor contracts and associated processes.
  • Leads, manages, supervises, and mentors Junior Project Managers and Project Engineers.
  • Oversees planning and development of relevant positions such as Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers.
  • Performs special projects and completes other duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is required. Equivalent experience and training may substitute for a degree.
Experience
  • 10+ years as a project manager in the construction industry.
  • 5+ years leading, supervising, and growing teams.
  • Knowledge of the project estimating process and budget development.
  • Extensive experience in the construction industry with concrete expertise.
  • Proficiency with Computer Ease is preferred.
  • Sales experience in construction is a plus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Typical office and construction job‑site environment with significant distractions.
  • Regularly required to sit and use hands for tasks; frequently required to talk or hear; occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Exposure to chemicals, inclement weather, and heavy equipment.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds safely.
  • Good visual acuity across various types of vision.
