Project Manager - Data Centers/Mission Critical

Experienced Project Manager to lead design and construction of hyperscale and industrial data center and mission-critical facilities, including ground-up builds and semiconductor fabs. Responsible for delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and to stringent quality, safety, and CSA compliance standards while coordinating MEP systems, construction teams, and cross-functional stakeholders. Significant travel will be required to project sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery for ground-up data center, hyperscale, industrial, and semiconductor facilities from planning through commissioning and closeout.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and risk; develop and maintain integrated project schedules and cost forecasts.
• Coordinate design and construction of critical MEP systems (power, UPS, cooling, fire protection, HVAC) and ensure seamless integration with facility infrastructure.
• Ensure projects meet mission-critical requirements and industry standards, including CSA compliance and other applicable codes and regulations.
• Oversee contractors, vendors, and commissioning teams; manage procurement, contracts, and change orders.
• Drive quality assurance and control processes, conduct site inspections, and enforce construction safety protocols.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication among engineering, operations, clients, and stakeholders; present regular status reports and executive updates.
• Implement lessons learned, continuous improvement, and value engineering to optimize performance and cost.
• Manage on-site travel and presence as required for construction phases, critical milestones, and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with semiconductor-specific teams to meet fab-level cleanroom, mechanical, and electrical requirements where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 8+ years of project management experience leading data center, mission-critical, hyperscale, industrial, or semiconductor construction projects, including ground-up builds.
• Demonstrated expertise in MEP systems design, installation, and commissioning for high-availability facilities.
• Proven track record with hyperscale and industrial data center delivery and familiarity with semiconductor facility requirements.
• Strong knowledge of CSA standards, local building codes, and applicable industry regulations.
• Experience managing construction contracts, procurement, budgets, and change management.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, PE, or Certified Commissioning Specialist are highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently to project sites and work in field environments.
• Familiarity with construction safety practices, quality control, and commissioning processes for mission-critical facilities.
