Associate Director Cost Manager And/Or Quantity Surveyor
Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Associate Director Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management services for a key client or a portfolio of clients. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of services, while effectively managing both internal and external stakeholders.
The role will support a diverse portfolio of projects across sectors including data centers, high-tech and manufacturing, commercial, and other mission-critical environments. It requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to drive consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Responsibilities include leading commissions, ensuring service delivery is aligned with the conditions of appointment and company standards, managing financial performance across projects, developing and implementing priority plans, establishing management controls and performance measurement systems, implementing and maintaining business management systems, building strong market knowledge, advising clients on contracting and procurement strategies, supporting program-level capital planning and reporting, developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and cross-functional teams, participating in leadership meetings, providing regular updates on project performance, staffing, and initiatives, identifying and acting on cross-selling and business development opportunities, supporting proposal development and RFP responses, driving knowledge management, attending relevant networking and industry events, and acting as a role model for a "one business" culture.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related construction field, a graduate degree preferred, minimum of 8 years' experience in a cost management role within the construction industry, prior experience within a construction consultancy environment strongly preferred, subject matter expertise in Quantity Surveying, RICS certification or equivalent professional accreditation preferred, strong financial and commercial acumen, excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, and strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
