We are seeking a Director of Safety to lead and strengthen our safety culture across field operations, projects, and support functions in Phoenix, AZ. This is a key leadership role for someone who knows construction safety inside and out and can partner with operations leaders to build practical, consistent, and accountable safety standards. The right candidate will bring at least 5 years of construction safety experience, strong communication skills, and the confidence to influence teams at every level while helping protect employees, clients, and project outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Lead the company’s safety strategy and day-to-day safety program across construction and field operations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and incident investigations, and drive corrective actions.
- Partner with operations and project leaders to reduce risk and improve compliance.
- Track safety metrics, identify trends, and report findings to leadership.
- Ensure adherence to applicable safety regulations and company standards.
- Support onboarding, toolbox talks, and ongoing employee safety education.
- Promote a proactive safety culture that balances accountability, productivity, and care for people.
- 5+ years of construction safety experience.
- Experience leading safety initiatives in field-based or project-driven environments.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and general construction safety practices.
- Proven ability to conduct investigations, audits, and corrective-action follow-up.
- Ability to influence crews, supervisors, and managers across multiple sites.
- Certifications such as CSP, CHST, OHST, or similar are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, construction management, or related field a plus.
