Surveying Technician

We are looking for a dependable, motivated Construction Field Surveyor / Layout Technician to join our team and support our concrete construction crews.
No previous surveying experience is required - we are willing to train the right person from the ground up.

• Provide accurate line, grade, and layout for concrete and construction crews
• Lay out anchor bolts, embedded items, excavation locations, footings, walls, and other construction points
• Work closely with field crews, project managers, and superintendents to ensure projects are built according to plans and specifications
• Read and interpret construction drawings and plans
• Set and check elevations, grades, dimensions, and locations in the field
• Operate surveying and layout equipment
• Help identify and resolve layout issues before they become costly construction problems
• Maintain accurate field notes and measurements

• Strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working outdoors and on active construction sites
• Able to read a tape measure and perform basic measurements
• Willingness to learn surveying and construction layout
• Basic computer skills are a plus
• Experience with a total station, transit, field level, GPS, or other surveying equipment is a plus, but not required
• Ability to communicate effectively with field crews and management
• Able to work independently while also being part of a team
• Valid driver's license

Education: College degree preferred, but not required
. Relevant construction or surveying experience can be equally valuable.
