Your Opportunity

Stantec's Colorado Construction Management Group is looking for a highly motivated Senior Construction Manager / Project Manager with strong heavy civil transportation/airport construction experience for our Phoenix, AZ office.

The primary responsibility of the Senior Construction Manager / Project Manager is to monitor and report on the work being executed on site by the Construction Contractor(s) and their sub-contractors to assist our clients in ensuring the work is being executed in accordance with the construction contract. Responsible for overseeing a team that typically consists of project controls, quality inspectors, and administration staff;

may participate in pre-construction activities supporting engineering, estimating, logistics, and execution planning related activities from a construction perspective. Will advise the client on any issues or risks observed and provide recommendations on proposed remedial actions for client's approval.

You will be focused on developing our talented team and project opportunities to provide creative solutions through exceptional project delivery and client communication. Key clients will be local agencies, ADOT and airports throughout Arizona, You will work closely with Arizona and regional leadership to implement sound business development and project delivery practices advancing our capabilities in a progressive and entrepreneurial environment.

This position requires a strong emphasis in project management in the areas of roadways, bridges, airports, drainage, and highways.

At the direction of the client, the Senior Construction Manager / Project Manager may also lead the construction execution planning process including but not limited to: communications management, reporting requirements, change management, project controls, scheduling, quality management, risk management, material management, environmental management, regulatory and permitting, and logistics associated with the field construction operations that will take place for the project.

Additionally, the Senior Construction Manager / Project Manager may provide preconstruction development support of execution strategies development and assist in constructability reviews. The construction execution planning exercise will be coordinated with the client, the Construction Contractor(s) and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage projects, delivery, and QA for the construction of airport infrastructure, roadways/highways, intersections/interchanges and associated infrastructure to meet local, state and federal requirements.

- Manage the development of scopes of work, level of effort estimates, and project schedules.

- Provides construction management leadership to the project team in support of the client.
