Interstate Mechanical LLC Safety Manager
1841 East Washington Street, Phoenix, AZ 85034
Salary: 90,000. USD
Interstate Mechanical LLC
At IMCOR, we don’t view safety as compliance—we view it as
leadership, culture, and operational excellence
.
We are seeking a
high-impact Safety Manager
who is ready to
own, shape, and elevate
safety across one of Arizona’s premier mechanical contractors. This is not a maintenance role—this is a
build, influence, and lead
opportunity.
If you are a
field-respected leader
who can drive accountability, influence operations, and use data to create real change—we want to talk to you.
- You will
partner directly with executive leadership
to shape safety strategy - You will have the authority to
drive accountability across all levels - You will be expected to
build a modern, data-driven safety program - You will spend time where it matters—
in the field, with the crews - You will influence both
jobsite safety and fleet/driver performance
- Build a culture where safety is
owned by operations—not outsourced to safety - Establish clear expectations and
hold leaders accountable - Influence Superintendents, Foremen, and field teams through
presence and credibility
- Maintain a strong field presence (~70%)
- Identify risks in real time and
correct behaviors before incidents occur - Partner with operations to integrate safety into
daily execution—not afterthoughts
- Leverage tools (including platforms like Samsara) to
identify trends and drive action - Develop and track meaningful KPIs that actually influence behavior
- Turn data into
clear, enforceable accountability standards
- Lead investigations that go beyond paperwork—
get to true root cause - Implement corrective actions that
actually prevent recurrence - Set the standard for urgency, accuracy, and follow-through
- Develop field leaders to take ownership of safety
- Deliver training that is
practical, relevant, and respected in the field - Mentor and strengthen the safety function for long‑term success
- 7+ years of safety leadership in construction (mechanical preferred)
- Strong OSHA knowledge and real-world application
- Proven ability to
influence operations and drive accountability - A reputation as someone the field
respects—not avoids - Experience using data to improve performance—not just track it
- CHST, CSP, or similar certification
- Experience with
driver/fleet safety programs - Background in HVAC, plumbing, or industrial construction
- A track record of
changing culture—not just managing compliance - Competitive salary (DOE)
- Company vehicle
- 401(k) with company match
- PTO + Paid Holidays
IMCOR is one of Arizona’s largest and most respected mechanical contractors, delivering HVAC, plumbing, piping, and design/build solutions across complex commercial projects.
We are serious about:
- Operational excellence
- Accountability at every level
- Investing in leadership
- Building a safety culture that actually works in the field
If you’re looking for a role where you can:
- Lead, not just enforce
- Influence, not just report
- Build something meaningful, not inherit something stagnant
This is that opportunity.
