Overview
Tired of the 3:00 AM breaking news alarms? Done chasing the next freelance gig?
You're a polished broadcast professional who loves the craft of hosting but hates the industry's instability. You want to trade the "audition, shoot, repeat" hustle for a consistent, high-impact role in a state-of-the-art corporate studio.
You know how to make a subject-matter expert sound natural on camera. You keep the pace tight, the tone human, and the message clean. You ask the question that sets the guest up to win—without drifting into personal advice, hype, or compliance landmines.
- Compensation: $100,000–$140,000+ (structure based on experience and schedule)
- Benefits (W-2): Blue Cross Blue Shield Health, Dental & Vision (company pays majority of premiums), 401(k) with 6% dollar-for-dollar match, PTO starting at 3 weeks (building to 5 weeks), 10 paid holidays, and much more.
- Stability: Consistent schedule, no weekends, no overnights
- Environment: 100% on-site at Magellan Creative Studios in Phoenix—a professional media house with full production support
Magellan Financial is the "Hollywood of Finance"—a founder-led, privately held marketing machine that helps elite independent financial advisors build brands and dominate their local markets. While competitors rely on webcam webinars, we operate a multi-camera studio producing broadcast-quality, 30-minute television episodes using approved, host-led Q&A scripts designed to educate retirees without crossing compliance lines.
We're hiring a Television Presenter to serve as the network's consistent on-air anchor. Your mission: solve the "consistency gap." Our advisors are financial experts, not TV pros. They need you to hold the room, drive the pacing, and ensure every episode looks network-ready. You aren't just reading a script—you're the professional thread that makes our partners look like the experts they are.
WHATYOU'LL DO
- Host the show: Open, transition, and close 30-minute episodes with strong timing discipline and broadcast-ready presence
- Run the script clean: Deliver host-led Q&A naturally and conversationally; ask follow-ups that stay inside the approved framework
- Protect the guardrails: Keep content educational—no personalized advice, no prohibited claims, no freelancing
- Work the room: Partner with producer/director, audio, camera, teleprompter, and editors; take direction well and nail pickups
- Sustain volume: Maintain energy and consistency across clustered shoot days ("studio week" cadence)
- Improve the product: Provide feedback on what lands on camera—clarity, pacing, viewer comprehension—while respecting compliance boundaries
You're a "one-take wonder." You command the camera with warmth and authority, treating the teleprompter as a tool, not a crutch. You understand that in this format, the guest is the star. Your ego is checked at the door; your goal is to tee up the advisor to deliver their best expertise. You thrive on consistency and have the stamina to film multiple episodes in a studio week without your energy flagging.
WhoThis Is NOT For:
- The "Hollywood" Hopeful: If you view this as a temporary stopover while waiting for your big break, look elsewhere. We want a committed partner.
- The Cowboy/Improviser: We work in a regulated industry. If you can't stick to a compliance-approved script without going rogue, you won't last here.
- The Diva: We run a fast-paced, high-volume studio. We need team players who respect the crew and the process, not high-maintenance personalities.
- On-camera hosting experience (TV, news, digital broadcast, or corporate) with a demo reel
- Teleprompter mastery—ability to deliver scripted content naturally
- Strong interviewing, pacing, and conversational control skills
- Mature judgment in regulated/guardrailed messaging environments
- Must reside in or relocate to Phoenix, AZ
Apply with your resume, and send a link to your demo reel to , and we'll get in touch right away.
