Position:
Lifestyle Editor/Photographer – Arizona Midday

News’ weekday lifestyle and sponsored content show, is looking for a highly skilled Editor/Photographer who can take segments from concept to completion. This role sits at the center of our lifestyle production operation and plays a critical part in delivering polished, brand‑safe, client‑driven content across broadcast, streaming, social, and digital.

This is a hands‑on, creative production role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, can work independently in the field, and understands both storytelling and client expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Show & Segment Production:
    Serve as the primary editor for Arizona Midday, delivering the daily show with clean, polished, on‑brand edits.
  • Edit both show builds and individual sponsored segments, ensuring broadcast‑ready quality.
  • Create short‑form and social cuts from segments for cross‑platform distribution.
  • Field & Studio Shooting:
    Shoot both in‑studio and on‑location lifestyle segments featuring hosts, guests, and clients.
  • Execute professional lighting, framing, and audio for client integrations, branded storytelling pieces, and capture strong visual sequences, natural sound, and b‑roll that elevate storytelling and production value.
  • Client & Internal

    Collaboration:

    Work closely with producers, hosts, sales team, and clients to plan, storyboard, and execute segments that meet both editorial and business goals.
  • Represent 12

    News professionally on client shoots, maintaining a solutions‑oriented, service‑minded approach.
  • Help translate client ideas into visually strong, brand‑compliant content.
  • Post‑Production & Graphics:
    Use EDIUS and Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) to edit segments and full shows, add graphics, supers, and visual treatments, prepare content for broadcast, streaming, and digital, and maintain visual consistency with 12

    News brand standards.
  • Workflow & Operations:
    Manage multiple shoots and edit deadlines simultaneously; maintain and operate ENG and production gear, including cameras, lighting kits, audio, and support equipment; assist with file management and delivery of final assets for multi‑platform publishing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, film, communications, related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience with lifestyle or magazine‑style content and branded or sponsored storytelling.
  • High‑quality shooting and editing skills.
  • Proficiency in non‑linear editing (EDIUS required; Premiere Pro highly preferred).
  • Working knowledge of After Effects for basic motion graphics and visual enhancements.
  • Strong field production skills: camera, lighting, audio.
  • Ability to work independently in the field and as part of a small production team.
  • Excellent organization and time‑management skills in a deadline‑driven environment.
  • Professional demeanor when working with clients and community partners.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Nice to Have: Experience in lifestyle, magazine‑format, or commercial production;
    Photoshop and Illustrator skills for simple graphics and treatments.
