What You’ll Do
  • Craft compelling narratives:
    Edit high-impact video for daily news, investigative pieces, and special projects across all platforms (TV, web, and social).
  • Manage the feed:
    Acquire and route video feeds from satellite, microwave, and backpacks, ensuring our field crews are always ready for air.
  • Master the workflow:
    Work closely with the Chief News Editor to keep our content management and archive systems running like a well-oiled machine.
  • Collaborate in real-time:
    Communicate with control rooms and field crews with urgency and precision to execute flawless live broadcasts.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Production, Communications, or equivalent background preferred.
  • Two years of experience as a news video editor in a television news environment preferred.
  • Strong understanding of non-linear editing.
  • Familiarity with receiving video feeds from satellite, microwave, or backpack preferred.
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, high-stress environment while consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Understanding of current journalism standards.
  • Strong technical and organizational skills.
