What You’ll Do- Craft compelling narratives:
Edit high-impact video for daily news, investigative pieces, and special projects across all platforms (TV, web, and social). - Manage the feed:
Acquire and route video feeds from satellite, microwave, and backpacks, ensuring our field crews are always ready for air. - Master the workflow:
Work closely with the Chief News Editor to keep our content management and archive systems running like a well-oiled machine. - Collaborate in real-time:
Communicate with control rooms and field crews with urgency and precision to execute flawless live broadcasts.
- Non-linear editing expertise:
Proficiency with modern editing software and understanding of digital workflows. - News-first mindset:
Ability to pivot from breaking news to long‑form feature swiftly. - Visual storytelling chops:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Production, Communications, or equivalent background preferred.
- Two years of experience as a news video editor in a television news environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of non-linear editing.
- Familiarity with receiving video feeds from satellite, microwave, or backpack preferred.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, high-stress environment while consistently meeting deadlines.
- Understanding of current journalism standards.
- Strong technical and organizational skills.
