Position: Esports Videographer (FWS/NFWS)

Job Overview

Provide creative and technical video production support for GCU Esports events, content creation, and marketing initiatives. The Esports Videographer will capture, edit, and deliver high-quality video content to showcase competitive teams, community events, and facility activities. This position will work in conjunction with Canyon Creative primarily to support esports operations, and may include videography outside of esports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record live GCU Esports events, tournaments, and team activities.
  • Edit footage into highlight reels, promotional videos, and recap content.
  • Collaborate with the Esports staff, social media team, and student workers to produce engaging video assets.
  • Ensure proper setup of cameras, lighting, and audio equipment before events.
  • Archive and organize video files for long-term use.
  • Assist with live broadcast elements when needed (camera operation, switching, overlays).
  • Uphold GCU brand standards in all video projects.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled GCU student in good academic standing.
  • Experience with video production equipment and editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar).
  • Knowledge of esports, gaming culture, and live event production preferred.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required for events.
Learning Outcomes and Development Opportunities
  • Hands‑on experience in professional video production within the esports industry.
  • Exposure to live broadcast workflows and digital content creation.

Work Schedule
  • Part‑time, up to 20 hours per week, with flexibility around class schedules.
  • Evening and weekend availability required for events.
  • Must be available Saturdays.
