Design Director

We're seeking a Design Director to lead diverse projects across branding, digital experiences, and integrated campaigns. You'll bring creative vision and strategic thinking to guide exceptional work in a collaborative, remote environment.

Where: Remote, US only

• 7+ years of design experience with a proven track record in senior design roles at agencies or studios
• Demonstrated excellence in designing brand systems that span identity, digital platforms, and campaign applications
• Experience crafting engaging, high-performing product marketing websites
• Strong grasp of web development processes with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers to realize digital experiences
• Deep knowledge of print methods and materials, with experience shepherding print projects from concept to completion
• Ability to interpret and contribute to high-level brand strategy, making persuasive strategic arguments through design work
• Experience directing creative disciplines including illustration, motion, photography, and other specialties beyond traditional design
• Expert proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• Exceptional presentation abilities and experience leading creative presentations to stakeholders
• Strong communication skills with the ability to anticipate client needs and cultivate meaningful relationships
• Comfort working directly with clients as a project lead when needed
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced environments
• Experience managing designers through delegation, clear direction, and goal-setting
• Passion for mentoring emerging designers and helping them develop their skills
• Ownership of operational design team aspects including resourcing, project staffing, design critique processes, role documentation, and recruiting
• Strong professionalism, personal accountability, and sense of responsibility
• Curiosity about emerging technologies and commitment to staying current with design industry developments
• An optimistic, positive approach that elevates team morale and project outcomes

• Illustration or 3D capabilities
• Copywriting skills and enthusiasm for naming projects
• Front-end development experience or familiarity with no-code website tools like Webflow
