We’re looking for a news writer/anchor to join our team. This role involves anchoring multiple market newscasts and covering national, regional, and local breaking news in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities- Anchor multiple market newscasts
- Cover national, regional, and local breaking news
- Handle typical newsroom duties: phone calls, interviews, content creation, and other assigned duties
- Five or more years working in a busy news environment
- Three or more years anchoring newscasts
- Strong journalistic integrity
- Excellent writing and grammar skills
- Ability to work all shifts, including weekends and overnights
- Respect for others and collaborative mindset
- Full proficiency in job functions
- Open communication fostering collaboration and consensus
- Strong problem‑solving skills
- Efficiency in independent work under minimal guidance
- Commitment to process improvement for team effectiveness
- Professional communication stressing diplomacy, empathy, and patience
