We are looking for a very experienced news anchor to provide top and bottom of the hour newscasts. This high profile position will cover news events (in-house) as needed, breaking news and anchor some local reports. Shift includes both weekend days and fill-in.
What You’ll Do- Anchor top and bottom of the hour national newscasts.
- Anchor multiple market local newscasts.
- Breaking News coverage.
- General newsroom responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Extensive news radio experience.
- Polished on air delivery.
- Proven track record of solid news work.
- Strong journalism skills.
- Highly experienced news writing background.
- Ability to work in a fast paced but flexible environment.
- Respect for others and a strong belief that others should do this in return
- Full proficiency and understanding of job function
- Open communication with colleagues and direct reports that encourages collaboration and team consensus
- Strong problem solving skills
- Efficiency with independent work under minimal guidance
- Commitment to process improvement for overall team effectiveness
- Professional communication that stresses diplomacy, empathy and patience
