Digital Production Designer
The Digital Production Designer is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing high-quality visual assets and user experiences across Desert Financial Credit Union's digital properties and deliverables, including the website, email, digital advertising, and other member-facing digital experiences. This role owns digital creative execution and serves as a key contributor to the look, feel, usability, and effectiveness of the credit union's digital presence.
This position translates marketing strategy and brand standards into compelling, conversion-focused designs that engage members and prospects at every stage of their journey. It blends creative craft with a digital-first, mobile-first, user-centered performance mindset, ensuring every asset and experience is on-brand, intuitive, and optimized for the channel it lives in.
This is a hands-on role responsible for both design production and cross-functional collaboration. The Digital Production Designer ensures that monthly creative deliverables are published on schedule.
What You Will Do Here:
- Design and produce digital assets across owned and paid channels, including but not limited to website pages, email templates, digital ads, and online banking ads
- Translate campaign briefs, marketing strategy, and brand guidelines into polished, on-brand visual designs that drive engagement and conversion
- Apply UI/UX best practices to design intuitive, user-centered digital experiences that improve usability and conversion
- Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and mockups to visualize and validate design concepts before production
- Create responsive, mobile-first designs optimized for performance across devices, screen sizes, and email/web rendering environments
- Prepare, optimize, and hand off assets for development and deployment, ensuring proper file formats, specs, and quality across platforms
- Manage digital advertising in online and mobile banking platforms
- Leverage AI-powered design and productivity tools to scale creative output, improve efficiency, and accelerate speed to market across digital deliverables
- Use performance data and analytics to inform creative decisions and strategy
Collaboration and Project Execution:
- Partner with web developers, lifecycle/marketing automation, designers, content, and channel strategy teams to deliver design assets that are production-ready and technically feasible
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and incorporate user feedback and usability findings into design iterations
- Manage and organize digital design files and assets within the team's digital asset management and file systems
Design Systems and Brand Consistency:
- Build and maintain reusable design components, UI patterns, templates, and layouts that support speed to market and brand consistency across digital touchpoints
- Ensure all creative adheres to brand standards, legal/compliance requirements, and disclosure guidelines for financial services marketing
- Design with accessibility in mind, applying inclusive design principles and supporting accessibility standards across digital deliverables
Testing, Optimization, and Iteration:
- Support A/B testing and experimentation by designing creative variants and iterating based on performance data and insights
- Apply usability testing and user research findings to continuously improve the member experience across digital properties
- Stay current on digital design, UI/UX, and accessibility trends, tools, and best practices, bringing fresh ideas to elevate the member experience
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, or another related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of experience and education required.
- 4+ years of professional design experience, with a focus on digital deliverables (web, email, digital ads) and UI/UX design required.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment required.
- Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) required.
