Student Worker Job Description – Spiritual Formation Media
FWS/NFWS Grand Canyon University is seeking a Spiritual Formation photographer and videographer to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCU's Spiritual Formation program.
Position Summary/PurposeThe purpose of this position is to capture and edit photographs and videos of the various Spiritual Formation events as well as create marketing videos to advertise these events on social media.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions- Attend and get photo and video footage for Spiritual Formation events using professional video equipment.
- Capture video footage and edit using software programs (Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere).
- Create marketing promo videos using software programs (Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere).
- Photo/video editing software programs including:
Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects) and Apple Final Cut Pro.
- Familiar with the Department of Spiritual Life, plus if familiar with Spiritual Formation program
- Available to work one Saturday evening event a month
- Must have a high level of technical skill in the following areas:
- Experience in filming video and photography using profession equipment.
- Proficient in photo/video editing software programs including:
Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects) and Apple Final Cut Pro. - Able to take and receive direction from Spiritual Formation staff for vision in creating videos.
- Able to work well with others in achieving the common goal of highlighting and marketing Spiritual Formation events.
- Creative ability to capture photos and video footage and edit to make a final product (please provide a portfolio).
- Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
- Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
- Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
- Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
- You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
