Position: Esport's Facility Worker (FWS/NFWS)

Purpose within the Organization

This position will provide overall support for general day‑to‑day operations of the GCU Esports Facility, ensuring that the facility is maintained throughout the year and supporting the Esports Facility Supervisor.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure continuous and consistent front‑desk operations and assist members of the Facility.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and equipment inventory.
  • Prepare opening and closing procedures for the Facility.
  • Interact with and present information about the GCU Esports organization to campus visitors, administrative guests, and during campus tours.
  • Assist with basic hardware and software repairs related to facility operations.
  • Support the Esports Facility Supervisor with tasks including event planning, live operations of events, and acting as a liaison for the GCU Esports Club.
  • Use Microsoft Office for reporting and communications.
Qualifications
  • Sociable and amicable; able to greet students and other guests and engage in conversations as needed.
  • Responsible; capable of working independently and making suitable judgments to best assist the Facility and the student body.
  • Preference for applicants with prior or current involvement in Esports or knowledge of the video game industry, culture, and trends.
  • Preference for applicants with prior customer service experience, leadership opportunities, or volunteer work.
  • Availability to work a three to four‑hour period anytime between 8:00am to midnight on weekdays and/or weekends.
  • Enrollment as a full‑time student in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program at GCU.
  • Minimum GPA: 2.0 for Bachelor students or 3.0 for Master students.
  • Good financial and academic standing (SAP). May be subject to termination if falling below minimum requirements.
Compensation & Timing

Pay Rate:
Minimum Wage.

Anticipated End Date:
June
2027.
