Role DescriptionThe Service Advisor is a full-time, on-site role located in Phoenix, AZ, responsible for serving as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department. In this position, the Service Advisor greets customers, listens to their concerns, and accurately documents service requests and vehicle issues. The role includes explaining recommended maintenance and repairs, preparing estimates, coordinating with technicians, and keeping customers informed on service status and timelines.
Day-to-day tasks also involve scheduling appointments, managing repair orders, reviewing completed work, and ensuring that vehicles are returned in a timely manner. The Service Advisor is expected to uphold high standards of customer service, maintain organized records, and support the overall efficiency and reputation of the service department.
- Strong customer-focused service skills, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with a commitment to delivering a positive experience.
- Ability to provide clear, professional Communication, ensuring customers understand service needs, pricing, and timelines.
- Experience or interest in Aftersales activities, such as follow-up calls, service reminders, and supporting ongoing customer relationships.
- Previous experience in an automotive service environment or a related customer-facing role is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site full time, multitask in a fast-paced setting, and use dealership or service management software.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or automotive training is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
