About the RoleA leading Phoenix architecture and design studio with a strong foothold in hospitality and resort environments is seeking a Mid-Level Architect or Project Manager to support and lead portions of complex hospitality projects throughout the Southwest.
This position is ideal for someone who understands the operational, experiential, and technical demands unique to resorts, hotels, spas, restaurants, and gaming environments
. You ll play a key role in shaping guest experience, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and driving project delivery from early concept through construction.
- Hospitality Project Delivery:
Lead day-to-day design and production tasks on hospitality-focused projects including resorts, boutique hotels, destination spas, F&B venues, entertainment spaces, and casino environments
. - Translate guest-experience goals and brand standards into architectural solutions.
- Maintain design intent across all phases while balancing operational and back‑of‑house requirements typical of hospitality environments.
- Design & Technical Execution:
Develop architectural drawings in Revit from schematic design through construction documents. - Prepare plans, elevations, details, and coordination documents tailored to hospitality program needs.
- Support design development with diagrams, renderings, and presentation materials.
- Resolve technical challenges related to acoustics, circulation, life safety, egress, and integration of FF&E and interior elements common to hospitality work.
- Project Management & Coordination:
Coordinate with MEP, structural, interiors, lighting, signage, and specialty consultants (kitchen, AV, security, spa/wellness equipment, etc.). - Track schedules, deliverables, and consultant responsibilities.
- Support client communications, prepare meeting agendas, and document decisions.
- Construction Administration:
Participate in field reviews for resort, spa, and hotel environments where detailing, finishes, and back-of-house integration are critical. - Respond to RFIs, review shop drawings, and coordinate with contractors to maintain design integrity.
- Help resolve constructability issues and ensure adherence to design vision.
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Architecture.
- 6-12 years of professional experience
, with hospitality project experience strongly preferred
. - Proficiency in Revit required; familiarity with Sketch Up, Enscape, Bluebeam, or Adobe Creative Suite is beneficial.
- Demonstrated experience preparing construction documents and coordinating complex projects.
- Understanding of hospitality-specific elements such as guest flow, BOH operations, brand standards, and luxury-level detailing.
- Knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements, and jurisdictional processes relevant to hospitality environments.
- Strong communication, leadership, and consultant coordination skills.
- Architectural licensure preferred but not required
