What You'll Do

The Senior IX Designer will help our customers engage with our vehicle program through clarity of visuals and experiences. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of enhancing customer experience through informative and emotive motion and visual design across complex problem spaces. They will be a part of the team responsible for defining how people interact with our products.

The ideal candidate will be proficient at using visual design, motion design, and micro interactions to tell our story at every level of the experience.

The responsibilities of the Senior IX Designer include but are not limited to the following:

Participate in UX strategy, planning, and reviews.

Design and build prototypes to communicate proposed experiences.

Build relationships with key partners in Brand, Design and HMI, Engineering and Software teams.

Partner with Engineering teams to turn prototypes into production code.

Present designs to senior stakeholders.

What You'll Bring

You have a Bachelor's Degree in Animation, Motion, Interaction or Graphic Design or equivalent design-related field.

You bring 7+ years professional work experience leading high impact interaction projects.

You have an available portfolio showing strong visual and motion work that solves customer problems.

You have a passion for emerging technologies, new interaction models, apps, and interactive interfaces.

You actively engage your teammates and proactively initiate new projects.

You have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills

You're proficient with UX design and prototyping tools such as Figma.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in automotive or consumer electronics industries.

Experience working within an agile development process.

You are a proven strategic thinker and collaborator who flourishes in an ambiguous problem space.

You have deep understanding of accessibility and inclusivity in experience design.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges:
The targeted hourly pay range is $45 to $50. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
