Intermediate Designer | Interiors

Our forward-thinking interior design studio in Austin is seeking a talented Intermediate Designer to develop innovative design solutions and guide projects through all phases. The ideal candidate will bring both creativity and technical expertise, with a passion for crafting spaces that are not only visually compelling but also highly functional and tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Depending on the day, your responsibilities will include:

• Competent in all conventional aspects of interior design with an emphasis on the technical implementation of the project design.
• Performs work requiring independent judgment and critical thinking.
• Adapts standards and criteria to project requirements and possesses a diverse working knowledge of related disciplines.
• Coordinates and produces Contract Documents with support and direction from the Project Manager and other senior staff.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or interior design from an accredited program.
• 3-5 years of experience in architectural and interior design practice with a focus on construction documentation.
• Knowledge of architectural detailing and current construction standards.
• Proficiency in Revit and other design software and their application to Contract Documents.
• Knowledge of codes, consultant's coordination (civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural), and ability to successfully complete the permitting process with minimal aid and supervision.
• Basic knowledge of construction contract administration processes.
• Effective communication skills, conversational and written, for ongoing project collaboration and documentation.
• Working knowledge of parametric modeling (Grasshopper, Dynamo) a plus.
• Proficient in Rhino and Enscape preferred.
