Mission Hires is seeking a Landscape Architect to assist and/or lead multidisciplinary design teams through all phases of project delivery—from site analysis and concept through construction documents and administration. This full‑time, salaried role partners closely with landscape architects, engineers, architects, and designers to deliver high‑quality public and private projects, manage client relationships, ensure quality and profitability, and contribute to business development.
Responsibilities- Assist senior staff with research, site analysis, conceptual and schematic design, and construction documentation
- Produce graphic presentations, study models, and illustrative materials
- Conduct project construction observations and support construction administration
- Assist and/or lead pursuits for new work, including repeat work, SOQs, and proposals; develop and execute win strategies
- Function as Lead Principal-in-Charge for designated practice area and geographic market, as applicable
- Ensure adherence to QMS and quality initiatives; implement quality control measures on all deliverables
- Prepare and follow comprehensive Project Framework Instructions and work plans; ensure appropriate staffing and utilization
- Review project reports and performance metrics to track progress, schedule, budget, and profitability
- Collaborate proactively with Project Managers to resolve issues impacting performance; participate in regular progress reviews
- Verify client satisfaction routinely and share feedback with project teams
- Oversee staff deliverables for compliance with client, legal, and company requirements
- Contribute to office sales goals and overall project financial performance
- Foster a learning culture, share information effectively, and support talent identification across teams
- BLA or BSLA degree from an LAAB-accredited Landscape Architecture program
- Licensed Landscape Architect preferred; project management experience preferred
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary, collaborative project team environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate effectively with team members
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; entry-level skills and/or interest in LandFX, Photoshop, Sketch Up, 3ds Max, Lumion, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong critical thinking and strategic execution skills; focus on quality and client satisfaction
- Ability to prepare project work plans and track schedule, budget, and performance metrics
- Willingness to participate in business development activities and proposal pursuits
- Physical ability to sit for prolonged periods and work at a computer
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; hike on steep slopes with survey equipment
- Comfort walking on uneven terrain and working in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to bend, squat, dig monument holes, pound in stakes/rebar, carry and use brush cutting equipment
- Valid driver’s license to drive survey vehicle
