Designer – Phoenix

We are seeking a Designer to join our growing team in our Phoenix office. This role is responsible for translating engineering requirements and conceptual definitions into accurate, fit‑for‑purpose drawings, ensuring alignment with project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.

• Interpret flow diagrams, design packs, and conceptual designs to prepare engineering drawings.
• Modify and update drawings to suit client, engineer, and internal team requirements.
• Manage drawing integration and interface with multi‑discipline design teams.
• Apply working knowledge of Autodesk software (including 3D) and VAULT workflows.
• Adhere to drawing office standards and procedures.
• Maintain awareness of safety in design and applicable design codes and standards.

• Deliver drawings within project schedules and allocated man‑hour budgets.
• Ensure high‑quality, self‑checked deliverables with minimal errors.
• Follow internal QA/QC and document control procedures, including use of BIM‑DOCS for coordination.
• Interpret and action direction from Design Office Leads.
• Escalate issues or design changes proactively.li>
• Maintain clear handover and communication across disciplines.
• Work respectfully and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.

• Take ownership of deliverables with a proactive, results‑driven approach.
• Demonstrate initiative, attention to detail, and a positive, team‑oriented mindset.
• Show professionalism in all interactions and a commitment to continuous growth.

• Degree or diploma in a related field with applicable design certifications.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in an engineering or design office.
• Experience in the mining, EPCM, or industrial project sectors.

• Proficiency in Autodesk software (AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault).
• Experience in a multi‑discipline project environment.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

While performing duties of this job, you may be required to stand, sit in a stationary position 50% of the time, alternate between sitting and standing, push/pull as necessary, reach overhead or below shoulder level, kneel, squat, or stoop.

May be required on occasion to lift and carry items such as files, documents, or small packages, typically up to 10‑20 pounds.

Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.

Close visual acuity to perform activities such as reading, analyzing data, and working on a computer.
