Help Build the Design Department of a Growing Luxury Remodeling Company
Luxe Construction is seeking a full-time Residential Design Manager to become the first member of our in-house design department.
This is an opportunity to help build the systems, standards, and processes that will support the continued growth of our company while working directly with ownership on every project.
We specialize in luxury residential remodeling throughout Paradise Valley, Scottsdale, Arcadia, and surrounding areas. Our projects include whole-home remodels, luxury kitchens, bathrooms, additions, and estate renovations.
This is not a decorating position.
We're looking for someone who enjoys the creative side of design just as much as the technical side and understands that exceptional construction starts with exceptional planning and documentation.
Position OverviewYou will own the design process from initial concept through construction completion.
This role requires someone who can confidently develop design concepts, produce builder-ready documentation, coordinate with architects and consultants, and remain involved throughout construction to ensure the design is executed correctly.
You'll work directly with ownership and become a key part of building Luxe Construction's in-house design department.
Responsibilities Design Development- Develop space plans and interior layouts
- Create cohesive luxury material and finish palettes
- Design kitchens, bathrooms, built-ins, fireplaces, feature walls, and custom millwork
- Select cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, decorative lighting, hardware, flooring, tile, paint, countertops, and finish materials
- Present design concepts and revisions
Produce builder-ready drawing packages including:
- Floor plans
- Interior elevations
- Cabinet elevations and cabinet details
- Tile layouts
- Reflected ceiling plans (RCPs)
- Lighting layouts
- Finish schedules
Material schedules - Plumbing fixture schedules
- Hardware schedules
- Millwork details
- Construction revisions throughout the project
- Coordinate directly with architects
- Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers
- Coordinate with cabinet manufacturers, counter top fabricators, lighting vendors, and suppliers
- Review shop drawings and submittals
- Attend project meetings
- Conduct site visits and field verification
- Answer design-related construction questions
- Resolve field conflicts while maintaining design intent
- Help establish Luxe Construction's design standards
- Build drawing templates and documentation standards
- Organize product libraries and vendor resources
- Improve internal design workflows and processes
- Help build and grow our in-house design department
- Residential remodeling experience required
- Luxury residential remodeling experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods
- Experience producing complete construction documentation
- Ability to read architectural plans
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills
Experience with one or more of the following:
- AutoCAD
- Sketch Up
- Enscape
- Chief Architect
- Adobe Photoshop
- Bluebeam

This is an in‑office position based in the Phoenix metropolitan area with regular jobsite visits.
Local candidates are preferred; however, exceptional candidates willing to relocate to the Phoenix area will also be considered.
