Project Architect Opportunity
Our client, BWS Architects, is adding a Project Architect to their Phoenix team to play a key role in their growing portfolio of fire and police, first responder, and essential facilities projects. This Project Architect will be engaged in a variety of public works, municipal public safety, civic, and essential facilities projects from start to finish, contributing to all phases of the work.
Responsibilities include moving architectural projects from design to construction, leading and overseeing construction document production, developing and managing the project budget and schedule, and acting as the liaison between the Design Architects and partner Engineers.

Qualifications and Success Factors:
- Registered Architect with 7+ years of architectural experience that includes public works project experience; police and fire station, first responder, and essential facilities project work is a plus.
- Bachelor's in architecture.
- Registered Architect in the state of AZ or ability to obtain quickly.
- Experience with Revit in a professional environment.
- Technical proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, rendering programs, and Microsoft Office.
- Project Architect who can work autonomously on document production and take the lead as needed with clients, design and interdisciplinary partners, and hold multiple projects accountable to milestones and production timelines.
Preferred Technical Knowledge:
- Understanding of AZ Fire Code, NFPA standards, International Fire Code (IFC), International Building Code (IBC).
- Awareness of IGCC/IECC and resilience codes related to climate, energy, and environmental regulations.
- Familiarity with AZ Department of Forestry & Fire Management permitting.
