Revit Designer (BIM / VDC)
The Revit Designer (BIM / VDC) supports a large-scale semiconductor construction project by developing, maintaining, and integrating live 3D models in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment. You work on-site in a BIM trailer, coordinating in real time across multiple disciplines to ensure that a live, federated model accurately reflects field conditions and installation sequencing. This role combines advanced Revit and Navisworks modeling with hands-on coordination with mechanical, electrical, architectural, and construction teams to deliver precise, constructible, and well-documented BIM outputs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models in Revit across mechanical, electrical, and architectural scopes.
- Work within a live, federated model environment and integrate updates from multiple disciplines in real time.
- Coordinate closely with MEP, architectural, and construction teams to ensure model accuracy and constructability.
- Perform clash detection using Navisworks and resolve coordination issues with project stakeholders.
- Model mechanical systems such as HVAC, ductwork, and chilled water systems.
- Model electrical systems including power distribution, conduit routing, and fire alarm systems.
- Support integration of building layouts and architectural design elements into coordinated models.
- Collaborate with field teams to ensure models accurately reflect current installation and site conditions.
- Incorporate RFIs, submittals, and field redlines into the model in a timely and organized manner.
- Adjust models based on site conditions, construction constraints, and installation sequencing requirements.
- Participate in coordination meetings with contractors and trade partners to review models and resolve issues.
- Produce coordinated drawings, shop drawings, and installation details derived from BIM models.
- Maintain model organization, naming conventions, and version control in accordance with project standards.
- Ensure all BIM deliverables align with the project's BIM execution plan and meet quality expectations.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in BIM / VDC, Revit modeling, or a closely related role.
- Strong proficiency in Revit for 3D modeling and construction documentation.
- Strong proficiency in Navisworks, including performing clash detection in multi-discipline environments.
- Experience working in multi-discipline coordination environments involving MEP and architectural teams.
- Working knowledge of construction processes and field coordination practices.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working on mission critical facilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a live, federated model environment and manage real-time updates.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to model accuracy and constructability.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with field teams, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale industrial or semiconductor projects.
- Background in modeling mechanical systems such as HVAC, ductwork, and chilled water systems.
- Background in modeling electrical systems including power distribution, conduit routing, and fire alarm systems.
- Experience integrating architectural layouts and design elements into coordinated BIM models.
- Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, and field redline processes and how they translate into model updates.
- Experience maintaining BIM standards, including naming conventions, file organization, and version control.
- Interest in working on mission critical and fast-paced construction projects with high coordination demands.
- Motivation to grow within BIM / VDC and contribute to continuous improvement of modeling and coordination workflows.
Work Environment
This role is 100% on-site in a BIM trailer located at a semiconductor construction project. You work closely with field teams, contractors, and multi-discipline design partners in a highly collaborative setting. The position follows a standard schedule of 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, aligning with construction and field activities. You work daily within Revit and Navisworks in a live, federated model…
