Structural Technician

Location: Minneapolis, MN

• Participate as a STRUCTURAL MODELER in a variety of large and small whole building and building component projects that range across most market sectors, building occupancies, and material types throughout the US. You will support a Lead Modeleron project teams to produce structural contract documents using Revit Structure from project conception through design and construction that effectively communicates the design intent.
• Maintainqualitycontrolofmodelcontentasmodeldevelopsthroughvariousdesignphases;incorporatingand coordinating design information into plans, details, and schedules.
• Adheretodrafting/modelingstandardsandcommunicatethemtotheprojectteam.
• Beaccountabletotheproject team for the integrity of thestructuralinformationcommunicatedonthe construction documents.

• Academics:
  
  Certificate in
  
  Revittrainingfromarecognized2-yearjuniorcollegeortechnicalinstitute.
• Experience:
  
  0-5yearsintheA/Eindustryand using
  
  Revit;
  Proficiencywiththe latestversionof
  
  Revit.

• Experiencewithcreatingcustomfamilies,modelcomponents,anddetailcomponents.
• Experiencewithinteroperabilitybetween Revitandotheranalysissoftware.
• Abachelor’sdegreeinarchitecture,engineering,orrelatedfieldisa plus.

• Strongworkingknowledgeofstructuralsystems,constructiondetails,and procedures.
• Abilitytoworkwiththedesignteamtoanticipate,identify,andresolveproblems.
• Proficiencyinmodeling,detailing,andparametricscheduling,asrequiredtoproduceacompletesetofcontract documents.
• Ability toexercisejudgmentanddiscretion,andtosetprioritiestomanagecompetingdemands for multiple project deadlines.
• Excellentgraphic,written,andverbalcommunicationskills.
