Architectural Engineer

A growing commercial Design-Build firm is seeking an experienced Architect with a strong background in industrial facility design to join its collaborative team.

The ideal candidate has experience designing industrial buildings, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, distribution centers, fabrication facilities, and other light industrial projects. This individual will serve as both the project architect and project manager, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule while producing accurate, high-quality construction documents.

This is not a traditional corporate architecture environment. You'll have the opportunity to wear multiple hats, work directly with company leadership, and play a key role in shaping projects from initial concept through construction.

• Lead architectural projects from conceptual design through permitting and construction support.
• Produce complete construction documents and detailed drawing sets using AutoCAD.
• Design industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, and commercial facilities.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate directly with clients, municipalities, consultants, structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
• Review drawings for code compliance, constructability, and permitting requirements.
• Guide and oversee drafter/designers throughout project development.
• Attend client meetings, design reviews, and municipal coordination meetings.
• Support preconstruction and construction teams with drawing revisions, RFIs, and field coordination.
• Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables meet quality standards and project deadlines.
• Maintain strong communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture preferred.
• 5+ years of architectural experience
  , preferably focused on industrial or commercial projects.
• Experience designing one or more of the following:
• Manufacturing plants
• Warehouses
• Fabrication facilities
• Commercial buildings
• Proven experience producing construction documents and technical drawings.
• Experience independently managing projects from design through permitting.
• Strong understanding of building codes, permitting processes, and construction methods.
• Ability to coordinate multiple consultants and disciplines.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
