Maternal/Fetal Medicine Physician - Responsibilities- The Maternal/Fetal Medicine Physician provides onsite maternal-fetal medicine services and consultation.
- Perform and interpret level 2/targeted obstetrical ultrasound services and fetal monitoring tests.
- Manage and modify therapies for high‑risk pregnancies.
- The Maternal/Fetal Medicine Physician collaborates with other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) in a timely manner.
- Adhere to the standards for The Joint Commission (TJC) accreditation and Client guidelines.
- Participate in the hospital's Quality Improvement Program and abide by the policies, bylaws, and procedures of PIMC.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including Native American communities.
- Proficient in diagnosing and managing complex maternal and fetal conditions.
- The Maternal/Fetal Medicine Physician conducts detailed family and medical history assessments, physical exams, and selective laboratory tests.
- Education:
Completion of an ACGME or AOA‑accredited residency in internal medicine or obstetrics and gynecology with fellowship training in Maternal‑Fetal Medicine. - Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Maternal‑Fetal Medicine. New residency graduates with significant experience may be considered. - Certification:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal‑Fetal Medicine. - Licensure:
Active, unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory. - Certifications:
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
