• Provides direct supervision to healthcare professionals; plans work to be accomplished by subordinates and prepares schedules for the
• Evaluates work performance of subordinates; advise or counsel employees on work and administrative matters; interview candidates for positions, recommend appointment, promotion, or reassignment to such positions; hear and resolve complaints from employees; identify training needs of employees.
• Interviews and examines patients, reviews past medical history, and request and/or performs diagnostic tests and examinations.
• Makes preliminary diagnosis, directs, prescribes or provides treatment, or arranges for specialized care or patient referral as required.
• Gives total patient care including prevention, health maintenance, early diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up services to patients under his/her care.

Degree:
Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association(external link);

Liaison Committee on Medical Education(external link);
Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association(external link), or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education(external link) at the time the degree was obtained.
