The Department’s primary mission is to provide evidence-based and personalized mental health services for the medically ill populations. The successful applicant would join a vibrant collegial work environment with a dynamic clinical team of psychiatrists, clinical health psychologists and neuropsychologists. As an academic position, it would include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows as well as opportunities for engagement in clinical research.
The Mayo model of care involves multi-disciplinary teams offering evidence-based biologic and psychosocial treatments in a patient-focused, highly professional, and compassionate environment. Fellowship training and certification in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry or Addiction Psychiatry is preferred, though not required. Our practice is exclusively outpatient, apart from a hospital consultation-liaison service, which has a rotational, cross-coverage and call schedule
