Meditation and Storytelling Instructor (Virtual, Bilingual English/Spanish)

Televeda is an online platform dedicated to reducing loneliness and creating meaningful connection through engaging, interactive experiences for older adults. We are looking for a warm, grounded, and bilingual Meditation and Storytelling Instructor to lead virtual classes that promote calm, reflection, and community.

This role includes two types of offerings:

• Live meditation sessions hosted through Televeda’s virtual class platform (similar to Zoom or Google Meet).
• Guided storytelling sessions hosted through a different interactive feature of the platform, where each class centers on a theme and invites members to share their own experiences.

You will lead 1 to 2 classes per week, creating a gentle, welcoming space where participants of all backgrounds and ability levels feel comfortable and encouraged to join in.

• Lead calming, accessible meditation sessions that support relaxation, mindfulness, and emotional well‑being.
• Facilitate themed storytelling sessions that gently guide participants into sharing personal stories, reflections, or memories.
• Create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where older adults feel safe, respected, and connected.
• Offer clear verbal guidance suitable for virtual instruction.
• Adapt pacing and content to meet the needs of participants with a wide range of physical and emotional abilities.
• Prepare thoughtfully for each class and collaborate with the Televeda team on scheduling and promotion.
• Teach comfortably in both English and Spanish to support our bilingual community.
• Classes are scheduled based on instructor availability and member interest.
• Most classes occur on weekdays during daytime hours.
• Expect to teach 1 to 2 classes per week.

• Experience guiding meditation, mindfulness, or similar reflective practices.
• Experience facilitating group discussion, storytelling, or community‑sharing circles.
• Fluent in both English and Spanish.
• Warm, grounded, and patient personality with a passion for supporting older adults.
• Ability to engage participants virtually through clear communication and presence.
• Reliable computer with a working camera and strong internet connection.

This is a contractor position, 2‑4 hrs/week, not an employee role.

Your bio, photo, and class descriptions may be used for promotional purposes while you are under contract with Televeda.
