Come be a part of the teaching team at New Way Academy for the school year! We are seeking a highly qualified teacher to join our junior high team. We are looking for educators who will support the school’s mission to educate children with learning differences to fulfill their potential.
New Way Academy is an independent, K-12 day school in Phoenix, Arizona. Responsibilities- Develop/adapt curriculum for our Junior High classes of up to 12 students, specialized to student needs
- Differentiate instruction to remediate what students need to learn and push them to rigorous content understanding
- Maintain and utilize accurate and up-to-date data regarding student achievement
- Empower students through high expectations, consistent routines, and strategies for success
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with parents, students and colleagues
- Work collaboratively with the level teams
- Contribute to the drafting of each student’s quarterly report outlining their academic and social progress
- Passionate about empowering students with unique learning profiles

- Previous teaching experience, preferably with students that have learning differences
- Holds valid and up-to-date teaching certificate in Arizona
- Bachelor’s degree or higher with a preferred emphasis on special education
- Previous teaching experience preferably at the junior high level
- Competitive compensation based on experience in a range of $55,000 to $65,000 per year
