This job reports to Elementary School Nurse
Essential Functions
- Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees and community.
- Observe, record, and report to the school nurse the condition of the student including signs and symptoms, which may be indicative of a change in the patient's condition.
- Provide for the emotional and physical comfort of the student.
- Assist in the care of the student in accordance with the student's care plan.
- Assist as needed with other students in program.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Experience: Previous experience working with severely handicapped children.
Effective communication skills
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Required Testing, Certificates and Licenses
Possession of a current license to practice as a licensed practical nurse.

Valid Arizona DPS Level I IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
