Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the regional Family and Community Engagement Coordinator and Family and Community Engagement Manager to support the planning and implementation of parent/guardian engagement workshops, events, meetings, and activities.
  • Provide parental support in a variety of areas to remove barriers to learning and support families with goal setting, parent advocacy, SEL skills, and more.
  • Connect parents/guardians to appropriate staff, teachers, or programs to ensure awareness and access to information that supports their students' academic and social‑emotional success.
  • Answer questions, inquiries, or requests from eligible students or households regarding eligibility, information, and problem resolution.
  • Assist parents/guardians with completing enrollment, including processes that require eligibility or application/acceptance, and help with access to extracurricular activities.
  • Distribute, collect, and review data from student applications, intakes, and assessments to determine aid eligibility and award the appropriate eligibility within state, federal, and/or District policy.
  • Monitor eligible students to ensure ongoing participation, eligibility, and services.
  • Encode eligible students’ breakfast/lunch tickets to maintain District Provision Two status.
  • Maintain accurate records and implement guidelines and procedures as authorized by District policy, state, and federal agencies.
  • Collaborate with the Community Liaison and/or Student Liaison to conduct home visits, delivering food, resources, and information sharing.
  • Prepare reports as required.
  • Perform general clerical functions and assist in maintaining student folders.
  • Support the dissemination of information to parents/guardians; assist with data entry of student handbook, weapons policy, internet authorization form, directory, dress code policy, etc. into the student information system.
  • Demonstrate courteous and professional behavior when interacting with students, parents, visitors, and school staff, maintaining absolute confidentiality of work‑related issues and following Governing Board policies.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Fluency in the language of the target population served preferred.
  • One year of experience working with families and high‑school students of diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of state, federal, and/or District policies, rules, regulations, guidelines, and procedures for awarding eligibility.
  • Valid Arizona State Driver’s License.
  • Arizona Department of Public Service IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • Ability to maintain accurate records, logs, and filing systems.
  • Skill in researching and compiling data for reports, presentations, and technical documents.
  • Skill in planning, prioritizing, and completing assignments with minimum supervision.
  • Skill in understanding, explaining, and applying relevant rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to operate office equipment and computer software.
