A full-time Special Education Teacher is needed for an Autism-support classroom serving high school students (grades 9–12) for the remainder of the school year. This is an in-person opportunity within an alternative education environment, ideal for a strong educator confident working with behavioral needs.

The Special Education Teacher will provide specialized instruction and individualized support to students with unique learning needs. Working under a Special Education Program Administrator, you will participate in team-based planning, implementation of IEP goals, and collaboration with general education staff and paraprofessionals.

• Setting: SPED – Autism
• Grade Levels: 9th–12th
• Caseload: 12 students or fewer
• Classroom Support:
  Approx. 7 students with 2 paras
• Schedule:
  
  Full-time, in-person
• Duration: ASAP – End of School Year
• Pay Rate: $45–$50 per hour

• Provide individualized instruction aligned with IEPs
• Support classroom behavior plans
• Collaborate with general education staff and related service providers
• Track and communicate student progress
• Maintain a structured, supportive learning environment
• Participate in planning, intervention strategies, and team meetings

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
• Valid state teaching certificate (as required)
• One year of teaching experience (preferred)
• Preferred certifications:
  Standard Elementary Teaching, Standard Secondary Teaching, Standard Special Teaching, LBS1 endorsement
• CPR certification, TB/PPD or chest X-ray, and health certificate (as applicable)
• Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
• Must be at least 18 years old
