Whiz Kidz Preschool is seeking a dedicated Early Head Start Teacher to join our Ahwatukee campus, working with our youngest learners — infants and toddlers from 6 weeks to 2 years old.
This is a specialized role within our Early Head Start program, serving families during the most critical years of early development.

Position OverviewAs an Early Head Start Teacher, you will:
- Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for infants and toddlers
- Conduct ongoing child observations and developmental assessments
- Maintain required Early Head Start and state licensing standards
- Foster secure attachments and responsive caregiving
- Partner closely with families through consistent communication
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance records
- Support children’s physical, cognitive, social-emotional, and language development
Physical Requirements
Working with infants and toddlers is physically active and hands‑on.
To be successful in this role, you must be able to:
- Lift and carry children weighing up to 40 pounds
- Frequently bend, kneel, squat, and sit on the floor
- Stand for extended periods
- Safely lift infants in and out of cribs
- Assist with feeding, diapering, and toileting
- Maintain continuous visual and auditory supervision
- Move quickly and appropriately in emergency situations
Safety and compliance are non‑negotiable.
Education & Qualifications (Required)- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or closely related field OR Child Development Associate (CDA) credential (Infant/Toddler preferred)
- Minimum 2 years experience in a licensed childcare center (infant/toddler experience strongly preferred)
- AZ DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- This position must meet all Early Head Start and Arizona licensing standards.
