Position Summary

This is the founding Program Director for the Clinical Psychology PsyD program in Phoenix. Prior to program launch, the position is 1.0 FTE program director focused on program development, including building program materials, preparing a self‑study, developing practicum sites, and recruiting core and adjunct faculty. Upon launch, the role will be .5 FTE program director and .5 FTE core faculty.

Responsibilities
  • 50% Program Director: Manage academic and program functions; oversee program assessment, continuous improvement and accreditation; lead student workshops and orientations; provide educational guidance; assist with student learning outcomes; lead curriculum and faculty development.
  • 50% Core Faculty: Maintain a course load; chair dissertation projects; provide program and university service; engage in scholarship. Preferred candidates have clinical or research specialties focused on oppressed or underserved groups.
Start Salary & Benefits

Starting Salary: $124,000 annualized, full‑time, exempt.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: PhD or PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA‑accredited program.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience with program administration, graduate‑level teaching, scholarship, clinical expertise, and commitment to multicultural training; at least three (3) years leadership in clinical psychology, preferably academic; at least five (5) years licensed psychologist experience.
  • License: Licensed psychologist in Arizona within first calendar year following program start.
