Pay Rate: $63,374-$88,086
Essential Duties- Providing support/extension activities for any academic objectives
- Working with ODD to develop ASL lessons focused on bilingual and ASL strategies
- Responding to, conducting and authoring IEP/MET, Referrals, Formal Evaluations, & Assessments
- Developing and reporting at least quarterly on IEP goals in the area of ASL for grades Pre-12
- Providing 1-on-1 and small group IEP services in a pull-out model
- Attending IEP/MET meetings
- Writing PLP/IEP
- Administering and scoring baseline/benchmark assessments in the area of ASL
- Providing immersion ASL services to students when appropriate
- Evaluating, documenting, and maintaining data files on student progress
- Managing student behavior in accordance with agency policy
- Maintaining open communication with students, staff, and parents
Travel locally and around Arizona required.
Qualifications- Master's degree or higher in a related field, i.e. Linguistics, American Sign Language, and/or Deaf Education
- 3 years experience in teaching and assessing ASL
- ASLTA Master Certification or ADE obtained within three years of placement
- Knowledge and training of VSCL and/or SLPI
- 2 years experience working with children or adults using American Sign Language in paid positions in educational settings
- Obtained ASLPI 5 or better, and/or SLPI rating Advanced or Superior
- Completed VSCL Training and Certification, and/or Completed 16 hours of SLPI Training within 6 months of hire
