Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with teachers, support staff, and school administrators.
  • High School Diploma preferred.

REPORTS TO: Principal

JOB GOAL: Supervises, organizes, and redirects student behavior while at recess or lunch either indoors or outdoors.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitors students for safe activity while in the cafeteria during lunch periods, serving lines, eating, and cafeteria dismissal.
  • Reports all student injuries, accidents, illnesses, and discipline problems to the appropriate authority immediately or as soon as reasonably possible; assists students in securing trays, food, seating, and dismissal.
  • Assists cafeteria staff in cleaning up spills, accidents, etc.
  • Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities; complies with and supports school and division regulations and policies.
  • Performs other lunchroom supervisory duties as assigned by building administrator(s).
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.
