Director of Curriculum & Innovation
POSITION LEVEL:
SUMMARY: Support beginning and evolving teachers with resources, information, and strategies to strengthen their effectiveness in the classroom.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years teaching experience minimum
- Masters Degree or BA+, and Reading Endorsement or Math approved area
- Various grade level experience
- Experience working with English Language Learners
- Cognitive coaching or other coaching models
- Demonstrate knowledge in curriculum, instruction, and assessments
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communications and presentation skills
- Skilled at working with others in a professional learning environment, including mentoring teachers and modeling effective teaching practices
- Self-starter with strong organization and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provision of the Board policy or evaluation of professional personnel.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret education materials and programs; ability to write reports, procedure manuals, and correspondence; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of teachers, students, administration, and the community.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference; ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
