AmericanLeadership Academy
Long-Term Special Education Substitute Teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year for our ALA Virtual campus. This role requires an on‑site presence, while instruction will be delivered virtually. Candidates must be certified, highly qualified, and possess, or be willing to obtain, an Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.
Responsibilities- Implement lesson plans provided by the teacher.
- Ensure that all school and district policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Help maintain a positive and orderly environment.
- Work with other teachers and staff to ensure a smooth transition and continuity in the educational experience for students.
- Observe and report on student progress, behavior, and engagement.
- Encourage student participation.
- Consistently communicate and correspond with parents, administrators, school psychologists and other professionals to set‑up and plan IEP and Evaluation meetings.
- Act as IEP facilitator and collaborator between special ed. and regular education teachers.
- Assist other professional staff in identifying and implementing interventions for students identified in the Student Study Team process.
- Maintain appropriate student data in order to keep school‑wide grading system up to date as well as data required to monitor IEP goal progress.
