Course:Structures of Composite Materials for Aerospace
The course introduces mechanics of aircraft materials and structures including stress and strain analysis, torsion, bending, failure criteria, buckling, fatigue, and composite laminates analysis. Students will be introduced to aerospace standards for design, structural integrity, system safety, dynamic stresses, and case studies.
What You Will Do- Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
- Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
- Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
- Minimum: Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
- Preferred: Doctorate in any of the above disciplines
- Your unofficial transcript reflecting degree earned with 18 graduate credit hours in the areas listed above
- Your unofficial transcripts for any applicable conferred graduate degrees
