Scottsdale Christian Academy (SCA) is a Christ-Centered covenant Christian school in metropolitan Phoenix, Arizona. The Upper School Administrative Assistant provides year-round critical support to the Upper School Principal by managing daily administrative tasks, organizing school operations, and serving as a key point of contact for students, staff, parents, and community members. This person shall be spiritually mature and shall reflect the purpose of the school, which is always to honor Christ. SCA hires with a focus first on Christ, together with character, competence, and chemistry with our community.
SCA is seeking an individual who can conduct these responsibilities with a spirit of love, compassion, customer service, and partnership with leadership.
- Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required;
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. - Experience:
Two years of prior administrative experience preferred;
Previous experience in a K-12 Christian education setting preferred. - Skills:
Highly organized and detail oriented. - Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a professional demeanor. - Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software; experience with FACTS SIS is preferred. - Skills:
Ability to think critically, work collaboratively, respect confidentiality, and use data to make informed decisions in the best interest of the school. - Skills:
Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to manage a range of objectives and to execute multiple objectives concurrently. - Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times. - Physical Requirements:
Capability to sit or stand for extended periods during events or meetings.
- Scheduling & Calendar Management - Coordinate and manage the Principal's calendar, scheduling meetings, interviews, teacher observations, fire drills, and school events. Maintain class schedules and other school event schedules.
- Event Planning/Organizing - Coordinate or assist with MS and HS orientations, walk-through registration, new family events, back to school events, Grandparents' Day, missions' week, 8th grade promotion, graduation, etc.
- Communication - Serve as the primary liaison between the principal and school staff, parents, and families. Attend meetings as replacement for the Principal when requested to receive and/or share clerical work. Draft, edit, proofread,…
