Position: Noon Aide/Recess Monitor

Location: South Mountain

Employment Type: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $17.00/hour

Hours: Monday-Friday; 9:45 AM-1:00 PM

• Provide attentive supervision during recess, sharing any challenges or unusual observations with teachers and school personnel in a timely manner.
• Be prepared for an active role, standing, walking, and stooping for extended periods, and assist students in gathering materials, games, balls, and other items for activities.
• Report injuries or unusual situations to professional staff immediately to ensure prompt attention and care.
• Maintain a warm and positive interaction with students, fostering an encouraging environment.
• Guide students away from inappropriate behavior and ensure orderly transitions between activities.
• Conduct daily playground checks to address potential hazards and respond appropriately to emergencies.

• Exceptional organizational skills and capacity to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Strong planning, execution, and problem‑solving skills.
• Self‑motivated and dependable.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience working with children.
• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

• Experience in a school setting or similar environment.
• Basic first aid and CPR certification obtained from an in‑person course.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
