As a Full-Time School Social Worker – MSW at our onsite location in Phoenix (3816 N 27th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85017), you will be at the forefront of enhancing School Climate and Culture through innovative Student Support Services. You can thrive in a fun, energetic atmosphere that prioritizes Academic Success Support and Behavioral Support in Schools, earning a competitive pay range of $55,000 to $65,000.

Responsibilities

Support student Social-Emotional Development, advocate for students and families, and strengthen Family‑School Partnerships. Foster attendance and engagement by implementing real‑time problem‑solving strategies. Provide behavioral support in schools, promote student advocacy and support youth development, and collaborate closely with educators, families, and service providers. Maintain clear written and verbal communication, build trusting relationships with diverse populations, and manage caseloads effectively. Reflective preparation at the end of the day ensures efforts directly contribute to youth development and meaningful change.

Qualifications

Required knowledge and skills include:

  • School‑based social work practices and youth development
  • Trauma‑informed care and student mental health supports
  • IEPs, 504 Plans, and special education processes
  • FERPA, mandated reporting, and professional ethics
  • Community resources and referral systems
  • Individual and group counseling
  • Student assessment, case management, and documentation
  • Crisis intervention and de‑escalation
  • Collaboration with educators, families, and service providers
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Build trusting relationships with students and families
  • Support diverse populations with empathy and cultural awareness
  • Manage caseloads and meet deadlines
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
  • Work effectively in a fast‑paced school environment
